Welcome to Toddler Tech Preschool

About Us

Located in Quincy, MA, Toddler Tech Preschool has been serving the local community since 1987 with center based, child care and preschool with curriculum based education for ages 6 weeks to 5 years old. We are located within convenient range of the expressway, Newport Avenue, Hancock Street, and North Quincy MBTA station.

Licensed by the Department of Early Education and Care by the state of Massachusetts, our well-educated and trained staff provides a warm, caring environment with daily activities to foster self-esteem and age-appropriate growth and development. Program staff uses the necessary supports and strategies to ensure that each child's individual needs are met. It is our purpose through planned activities at different age levels, to help enrich each child's development while providing positive and consistent guidance to children. We strive to build a positive self-image, and to develop the whole child. Play is the child's work, and through this they learn sharing and cooperation.
The Curriculum, titled, The Creative Curriculum by Teaching
Strategies Inc., is a program we use. It presents the most current research and explains best practices in working with young children and families. It defines the objectives for children's development and learning that are most predictive of school success. It offers strategies for promoting children's social-emotional development as well as content area skills. Early childhood education is incorporated into everyday classroom experiences. Our program is creating daily routines and meaningful “hands on” experiences that are responsive to children's strengths, interests and needs. Our focus is on what matters most for very young children. We will follow the five components of teaching children effectively by; knowing how children develop and learn; the learning environment; what children learn; caring and teaching; and partnering with families. Our experienced staff is preparing your children to succeed in school and life.

Our Teachers are highly experienced and qualified in Early Childhood Education. They continue their education throughout the year by attending Early Childhood Education workshops and trainings offered by the Department of Early Education and care and through college courses for continuing education in the field. In addition, all staff is trained in CPR and First Aid and exceeds all state requirements. Teachers implement curriculum using lesson plans, monthly themes, and a daily activity schedule. The school is headed by the onsite owner and director, Donna Sullivan Mock, who oversees all aspects of the program.
Our Daily Program will include activities which will foster creativity, independence and sociability. The program is designed to provide a nurturing and secure setting in which children can grow and learn about themselves, each other, and the world around them. It emphasizes on children sharing feelings, information, and ideas, by learning to talk and listen to others.

Toddler Tech serves approximately 48 children per day. Our program and curriculum is designed for Infants 6 weeks old though 5 year old children. We provide Infant, toddler and preschool care. Groups are small: six infants, nine younger toddlers, nine older toddlers, and 3 preschool groups. Groups are divided by age and developmental needs. Each group follows a daily schedule intended to balance indoor and outdoor periods, active and quiet times, meal times and individualized, small and large group activities. The infant group runs according to the varying schedule of each infant.
Planned activities in all areas of early childhood education are presented daily; Art, Dramatic Play, Music, Movement, Science, Literature and Language Arts, Math, and Writing. The Center offers full day programs serving a nutritious morning and afternoon snack, with lunch being provided from home.

Outdoor time is provided in our onsite playground in addition to walks, and field trips so that the children will have the benefit of a well rounded program. We supply adequate time through a flexible daily schedule for the child to develop socially, emotionally, physically and intellectually.
